A 6th degree Black belt, Mrs. Master began training in 1983, she earned her Black Belt in 1985 under Master John Holloway of Silver Spring Maryland. She opened her school in 1987 in Midlothian VA. and has been successfully training students of all ages ever since.
Master Bernard Robinson
Senior Master Head Sparring Instructor and Head of the Competition Team
A 6th degree Black Belt, Mr. Master is an International Referee and the Virginia State Referee Chairman. Mr. Robinson is the only instructor in the area teaching Olympic Style Sparring.

GENTLE EAST MARTIAL ARTS IS 22 YEARS OLD!!!
Gentle East started as Woodlake Martial Arts in October of 1987, in
the aerobics center. In December of 1994, after seven years of steady
growth, we moved to a larger building and changed the name to
Gentle East, in honor of our parent school in Silver Springs, Maryland.
In September 2009 we moved to our new building so we can continue to grow.
The children of some of our original students are now starting a new generation!
